I just use oatmeal, flour, cinnimon, brown sugar and butter all blended together for my topping over lots of tart apples. sometimes I put cranberries in with the apples too. This has always been one of my favorit desserts/breakfasts. With a little cream or vanilla icecream is it really any different than a bowl of oatmeal?
