Today is National Turkey Neck day, but who in early spring just happens to have a turkey neck in their fridge? Maybe in November, but March? That's why I've taken it upon myself to change this national food day from Turkey Neck to Wild Turkey Sour day. Yup. A cocktail. With bourbon. It's in the same "turkey theme," so technically it's not a far cry, right? And, we could all use a cocktail at the end of the day. Cheers. Wild Turkey Sour 2 ounces bourbon 1 ounce lemon juice ½ teaspoon superfine sugar 1 slice orange 1 Maraschino cherry In a shaker half-filled with ice cubes, combine the bourbon, lemon juice, and sugar. Shake well. Strain into a whiskey sour glass, garnish with the orange slice and cherry. Photo by: zappowbang
