Trader Joe's issued a voluntary recall of over 131,000 lbs of their frozen Pizza al Pollo Asado. The company has been alerted by the product's manufacturer, Completely Fresh Foods Inc., out of Montebello, California, that the frozen pizza is not, in fact, completely gluten free as the label claims, but may contain trace amounts of wheat.

The 10 oz packages read: “EST. P-974" inside the USDA mark of inspection. The mislabeled gluten free pizzas are said to have been produced between January 27, 2011 and March 27, 2011 and carried by Trader Joe’s stores nationwide. If you have purchased one of these pizzas, contact your local Trader Joe's store or call Trader Joe's customer relations at (626) 599-3817. Media inquiries may be directed to Alison Mochizuki at (626) 599-3779. Photo by trekkyandy
