Jamie Oliver Launches 'The Big Feastival'

April 26, 2011

Jamie Oliver does more charity work in one day than most of us do our entire lives. The UK chef will continue to put us humans to shame as he launches his own three-day music and food festival this summer. All proceeds will go straight to his million dollar bank account. Just kidding, all to charity. Sigh.

The event will take place on July 1st to 3rd on Clapham Common in London. Music headliners include Soul II Soul, the Charlatans and Athlete, while pop-up kitchens from the likes of Chefs Giorgio Locatelli and former Masterchef winner Thomasina Mier serve up grub.

The goal is to bring together "London's finest gourmet experience with the look of an urban village fete and a music festival vibe."

Oliver added:

"The Big Feastival is something unique that we have wanted to try for a while. A really good festival for everyone with great music and great food, all for charity."

The fete will benefit The Prince's Trust and The Jamie Oliver Foundation to help disadvantaged youth. Double sigh.
