
Bored of bar crawls? Try an event by Dishcrawl, a new company that stages social events in which foodies try four area restaurants in a night with a group of strangers. These food-centric events focus on local eateries in three cities: the San Francisco Bay Area, Montreal and New York. Dishcrawl plans to expand to Ottawa, Los Angeles and Houston soon.
A recent San Jose, California Dishcrawl event had an exotic theme and traveled between food trucks and ethnic restaurants to taste grasshoppers, Thai food, Korean tacos and quesadillas, and ice cream caraoke. Here's the NBC Bay Area coverage of the Dishcrawl event:
