Thank you Eric Schlosser, author of Fast Food Nation for pointing out, in this Washington Post article, that being on the path to eat only foods that come from nature does not make one elite, or a mastermind of propaganda. This is a train of thought that us purveyors of health constantly battle. It's a distraction from the fact that all of this chemically laced fake food is destroying the health of our citizens.
As Eric mentions, food has changed more in the last 40 years than in the last 40,o00 years. Guess what, our genes don't work as fast as the corporations who are providing GMOS, High fructose corn syrup, dyes, pesticides, and a range of other additives that require a chemistry degree to pronounce. There is a major disconnect in the modern world, we come from nature and so should our food!
"The cheapness of today’s industrial food is an illusion, and the real cost is too high to pay." ~Eric Schlosser
