The Meat Horse is an unusual entry by AuTopsyTurvy into the Instructables Bacon Contest. The female artist first made an armature out of wire and wood, then covered that framework with plaster bandaging. Atop that layer, she pinned about $200 worth of prosciutto and bacon.

AuTopsyTurvy created the Meat Horse for an advanced sculpture class at Ohio State; she reports that she got an "A" on the project despite her professor being vegan. She opted for prosciutto and bacon over other types of meat due to its fat content, which enabled her to recreate lifelike musculature.
