Massachusetts brewery Samuel Adams has released a 12-pack to teach you about hops, the flower clusters used to add bitterness to beer. Based on the formula for their Latitude 48, an IPA made with five different kinds of hops from three countries, the pack includes not only the original brew but also five beers that are each made with one hop from the recipe. The single-hop beers will let you see what flavor each type of hop brings to the complete brew. Check out Norman Miller's tasting notes for a summary of the different styles.
