Be ready to be amazed! In my search for cooking with local foods, I stumbled across this amazing website by Carrboro Farmers Market, in Carrboro, NC. Not only is it beautifully rich with photography, it has a huge amount of information on vendors, recipes for local foods, shopping tips, opportunities for volunteering and much more.
I especially like their "Truck Bucks" program, where any type of money you bring to market can be turned into wooden tokens, accepted by all the vendors. What a great way to encourage anyone to shop at the market!
Fantastic site and what an inspiring market the Carrboro folks put on. Well done!
