This was no small sammy seizure. The U.S. Border Patrol intercepted 35 rolls, or 385 pounds of Mexican bologna at the Santa Teresa, New Mexico point of entry, from a Ciudad Juarez resident, KOAT-TV in Albequerque is reporting.
Pork porducts, like bologna, aren't allowed entry into the U.S. and are considered contraband because the pork could spread disease across borders.
Officials figure the bologna was enough for 400 sandwiches and worth about $2,700.
