Slow Food USA, is committed to helping this citizens of this country get back to the basics when it comes to our diet. We have a long way to go, especially where children are concerned. Between overly processed school lunches, fast food, and kids menus being nothing but a fried food and carb fest, it's comforting that some are trying to improve the situation.
Slow food has put together tips for concerned parents who want lunch time to be more than glorified fast food. They are also encouraging teachers and parents to start a school garden, so that kids can have a connection to where their food comes from.
