Zergut by the Edible Escape is an upcoming short film that focuses on an epic refrigerator battle between fresh food and decaying food. Natasha Subramaniam and Alisa Lapidus are the duo behind Edible Escape; it took them two years to film Zergut.
Zergut features a dazzling array of high-speed filmmaking, stop-motion animations and slow-motion sequences. These techniques turn moldy food and fresh items alike into artistic objects, a theme that's reinforced by the film's classical soundtrack. The trailer for Zergut by the Edible Escape and a few takes from the film's final scene appear below.
