Cooking For Solutions - Bigger and Better Than Ever

May 20, 2011

Today kicks off the 10th Annual Cooking for Solutions event in Monterey, Ca. Hosted by the Monterey Bay  Aquarium, Cooking for Solutions brings together over 70 chefs and 60 wineries to entertain and educate the public about sustainable foods.  From the site:

It's an elegant and engaging way to discover how your choices protect the health of soil, water and ocean life.

The event includes gourmet foods and wines, and special sessions with celebrity names in the world of fine dining and sustainable cuisine.

Learn from Alton Brown about sustainable seafood. Listen to P. Allen Smith share how important it is to know your food source. Chef Nathan Lyon offers recipes straight from the farm to your plate, and enjoy an intimate exchange with Organic food Goddesses, Myra Goodman, Marie Rodale and Kristine Kidd, as they discuss their newest books on their organic food journeys.

All of this is just a hint of what is going on at this huge event. There are endless opportunities for epic gastronomical heights, and deep sustainable food thought. It is truly worth the trip.
