My first full day in France as a sponsored guest of the Loire Valley Wine Bureau was dedicated to sampling Muscadet, the bracing, lively, seafood-loving (and surprisingly age-worthy) white wine made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape. If I could have stopped time it would have been at the lovely and charming Chateau de l'Oiseliniere. Though this view of the Chateau took my breath away, click here to read about the comforting meal, lovingly prepared with local ingredients, that has equal standing in my memory.
