Walmart Recalls Food Processors

May 26, 2011

After receiving 58 reports from consumers about failing safety lock systems, Walmart is recalling about a quarter of a million of General Electric 14-cup food processors. Walmart was the only retailer who sold this particular GE food processor model.

The failure of the food processor's safety lock systems allowed the food processor to run without the lid secured in place, which presents a laceration and fire hazzard. The faulty food processors were sold at Walmart stores from September 2009 to February 2011 for about $50.

If you think you have one of the recalled GE 14-cup food processors, contact Walmart customer service toll free at 877-207-0923 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Central time or visit walmartstores.com/recalls for more information.
