Gin is an ideal base spirit for easy summer cocktails. Light and crisp, gin is already dressed up to play with the herbal infusions that give it its characteristic flavor. We like the stronger flavor of London Dry gins for basic drinks where the juniper, citrus, herbs and spices can shine. Try these recipes for simple yet flavorful cocktails to keep you cool all summer long.
This poor guy gets all kinds of gussied up, but in reality is among the easiest and most refreshing cocktails in the land. The trick is to use fresh, good vermouth. Vermouth has a wine base and can go bad, unlike spirits. Please throw out the one in the back of your cupboard, buy a new bottle, and store it in the fridge to increase its longevity.
