Dessert Salsas

When we think of salsa, we rarely think of desserts.  These dessert salsas are bound to change your mind.  Mix them with whipped cream, use them as a topping for pound cake or ice cream.  The key is to use ripe fruit so that their flavor can shine.  However you eat them, a good dessert salsa should leave you smiling wanting more.

Blueberry, Papaya, and Almond Salsa
This can be served in the style of a shortcake.

Blackberry, Mango, and Aguardiente Salsa
The aguardiente (alcohol) creates a syrup.  Spoon over a piece of pound cake.

Peach and Macadamia Nut Salsa
Mix with vanilla ice cream and freeze.  You will transform your dessert into a whole new flavor.
