I was a Vegetarian for many years. Eating meat free was so easy for me, since it was also a time that I lived off the land (long story). I invented many recipes during that time which my family knows of only as tasty, while I remember a simple, earthy time in my life with every bite.
This weekend, we are having house guests who are vegetarian, and it feels wonderful to be pulling out some of my favorite recipes. This Lentil Daal tastes so good, you will find yourself eating it by the light of the fridge at night. Oh wait, that was me.
