10 City Themed Cheeseburgers

June 3, 2011

The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board has unveiled a series of 10 cheeseburgers designed to fit the personalities of corresponding American cities. Called Cheeseburgers Across America, the marketing promotion was designed by the Cheese & Burger Society. The burgers will not be commercially sold, but instructions on how to prepare them are available on the website.

Take a look at some of the most creative burgers:

  • The Seattle Burger: brie, pinot noir-glazed foraged mushrooms, sautéed onions, wild watercress, arugula, coffee-spiked mayonnaise, whole-grain bun
  • The New York Burger: creamy Wisconsin Camembert, braised beef short ribs, pickled red onions, and sautéed shitake mushrooms
  • The Atlanta Burger:  two kinds of Wisconsin Cheese, fried macaroni and cheese, picked jalapenos, and thick peppered bacon
  • The San Francisco Burger: Wisconsin Fontina, sliced heirloom tomatoes, red onions, bacon and guacamole on sourdough bread
  • The Kansas City Burger: gouda, pulled pork, green slaw, BBQ potato chips, onions, BBQ sauce

For the other five burgers, see the site. It's fun and interactive as well.

Do you agree with the characterizations?
