Summer in the season for chili cook-off's. This is ironic because the temperature of the food is as hot as the weather. For those of you who do not have time to participate in your local chili cook-off, here is an easy recipe you can make at home to enjoy with your family and friends. I like to serve mine with homemade cornbread, sour cream, cheese, and pickled jalapenos.
2 pounds ground beef
1 small can tomato paste
2 cans diced tomatoes
1 small can tomato sauce
1 cup water
2 cans kidney beans
1 medium minced onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 pinch pepper
1 ½ tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon cumin
