The BurgerMonday series of pop-up dinners in London added an unusual element to its schedule for June 27: burger placemat art created by 24 top illustrators. Attendees to the £40 event will get free beer and red wine, a three-course dinner by Fred Smith of The Admiral Codrington pub, and a signed burger art piece in placemat form.
Daniel Young, BurgerMonday's creator, encourages diners to personalize their illustrated placemats with ketchup and mustard stains; at the end of the event, diners can trade their placemats with others or take them home as a keepsake. The piece above by Rob Flowers will be one of those featured at the BurgerMonday pop-up dinner.
