Low Iodine Living: Day 9

June 14, 2011

I have been an unbelievable level of tired today. Got up, tuned in to your weekly conference call, went back to bed for a few hours, got up for lunch and then hunkered down on the couch and dozed on and off all afternoon. Can't really do much else, physically or emotionally, so it all worked out alright but I haven't been this level of purely exhausted since I was in college and we had no idea that I was severely, severely anemic. The Nuclear Medicine team told me that you don't usually feel not being on the cytomel until the day or two before the RAI treatment - so true - and between the two, I feel like I've been drugged! So, today was a super low energy day, involving super low energy foods and cooking -- sorry it's not the most interesting, but on the upside, by this time tomorrow I'll be eating pizza with extra cheese, pepperoni and olives -- aka dairy, extra dairy, salt and extra salt. Yep, yum!
