This quick bread is a perfect gift for Father's Day. Serve it with breakfast so the rest of the family can try a slice. You can make this the night before or just prep the ingredients and bake in the morning. I would choose a darker beer for this recipe, something with a toasted flavor. For a sweeter flavor, you might try a honey lager. If your Dad doesn't care for spice, feel free to omit the green chiles. You can also add 1 teaspoon of chile powder for a milder spice. Your Dad will appreciate the baked surprise.
Ingredients:
½ cups Whole Wheat Flour
1 ½ cups All-purpose Flour
1 tablespoon + 1 teaspoon Baking Powder

12 ounces Beer
2 cups shredded Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese
4 ounces cans Green Chiles, chopped, with juices
Optional Topping:
1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
