Bacardi U.S.A has announced a voluntary recall of Martini Asti Sparkling Wine 1.5 Liter Bottles. The company received reports that the bottles were bursting either in their cases or once on the shelf. The problem appears to be isolated to bottles with lot codes L10236, L10237, L10238, L10239, L10242, L10243, L10244, L10278, L10279, L10281, L10284, L10285, L10321.
Bacardi is recommending that people in possession of a Martini Asti 1.5 liter bottle should "handle it carefully with gloves and protective eyewear to determine if the bottle contains one of the affected lot codes." For more information, find the full press release here.
