New York City's Summer of Riesling launches nationwide today. The Summer of Riesling was founded in 2008 at Terroir Wine Bar in Manhattan's East Village, expanded across the city, and is now set to take over the country. Riesling is known for its high acidity and aromatic nose, and makes wines that are anything from bone dry to lusciously sweet. Terroir wants forcefully encourage love for this impressive grape by serving it as the only white wines by the glass during summer.
Participants across the country will celebrate in different ways, including riesling-only wine pairing dinners and featured rieslings by the glass. The list of venues where you can get in on the fun can be found here.
