The film Dive takes a look at why so much good food is getting thrown away in our country. I have to admit, before i saw the clip, I thought dumpster diving was a sport for hippies living off the grid. I imagined the food to be mostly gross. Apparently that's not the case, because the food was still wrapped and didn't appear to be rotten. In fact, they are feeding their family and friends via the dumpster.
The deeper point of the film is to explore why is this happening when there are so many hungry people in the world. Is there a way to get this food to the people who really need it before it hits the trash?
