Canstruction San Francisco is in full swing this weekend, boasting the best food can sculptures in the area. The Canstruction event is the city's first, and all proceeds and food cans will go to the San Francisco Food Bank. This year's theme is "Spirit of San Francisco," which explains the trolley car sculpture that accompanies this post.
In 2010, Canstruction donated the equivalent of 1.5 million meals in canned food to local food banks. This year's Canstruction San Francisco event is at Metreon on 101 Fourth Street; although admission is free, plan to bring some canned food along to donate.
