New Hampshire Drinks The Most Beer

June 25, 2011

New Hampshire drinks the most beer per capita in the country with an average of 32.7 gallons of beer sold per legal drinker in 2010, according to the Beer Institute. With the average country-wide at 20.7 gallons, New Hampshire is truly leading the way. Apparently the lack of sales tax lures out-of-state drinkers to purchase beer in New Hampshire, but Granite State beer-lovers probably just like to drink the equivalent of 350 12-oz cans each year.
