Community gardens are cropping up all over the country, and Urban Farming Tools is a kit made with small-scale farmers and gardeners in mind. The kit contains a spade, a trowel, a dibber, a large fork and a small fork, and all five pieces fit neatly inside a canvas backpack.
Mirko Ihrig and Olli Hirvonen created the Urban Farming Tools kit for city-dwellers who want to participate in community gardens but don't want to risk getting their tools stolen between visits. The backpack enables cyclists, pedestrians and public transportation users alike to tote their tools from home to garden with ease.
Do you think the Urban Farming Tools will reduce the barriers to participate in community gardens?
