I admit that I love kitchen gadgets, with one caveat: I am going to USE the gadget. I am also not very careful. Most of the things I cook with are vintage, for the simple reason that they are usually made from metal, or at least a much sturdier plastic than new items.
While perusing (err, I mean drooling) over this month's Better Homes and Gardens magazine, I spied a gadget that must come to live in my kitchen. If you are from the 70's, you remember the same shape in a razor. This fantastic rotary peeler, makes ribbons, serrated peels, slits and matchstick - all with one tool! Be warned however, the entire site: JosephJoseph, is a dreamy kitchen site that will fuel your lust of kitchen-y things. Oh wait, that's what happens to me.
Lest you think that this will replace my separate tools, never fear. I will still be that weird Foodista, haunting the kitchen section at the thrift store.
P.S. My birthday is in 22 days, in case anyone obligated to buy me a gift is reading this.
