Kefir is a fermented wonder beverage that's loaded with beneficial bacteria and enzymes, but it's typically made with milk. Since so many people are either vegan, lactose intolerant, or simply allergic to milk, kefir made from coconuts is gaining popularity. Still, the store-bought variety isn't as vital and nourishing as the DIY kind.
