To celebrate the final, historic space flight, food scientists at NASA's space lab have prepared an "All-American Meal" for the astronauts and invite people on Earth to make the same menu and share the experience. The meal is scheduled for mid-afternoon U.S. time on Thursday, July 14th.
The food scientists are serving up classic, American backyard BBQ fare including crackers, brie and sausage as a starter, grilled chicken, Southwest corn and baked beans for a main course and finished off by the most American dessert there is, apple pie.
Rather than recipes, the NASA food scientist nerds provide "formulations" for the foods for the lunch. Get the formulations (recipes) here.
