Japan has just about one vending machine for every 23 people, but this Coca-Cola vending machine solicits Japanese Red Cross donations, letting users give funds to charity effortlessly. Coca-Cola will also donate 100 percent of the money these specially branded vending machines collect until September to benefit earthquake relief efforts.
The vending machine allows users to donate either 10 yen or 100 yen -- or about 12 cents and $1.23 -- as they purchase standard cold beverages. Here's a video of the Coca-Cola vending machine in action:
