In today's hustle and bustle world, people don't always have the time to sit down and enjoy a nourishing meal. Rather than skipping meals, or going for fast food, try adding nutrient dense smoothies into your life.
Smoothies take just a few minutes to prepare, and they add a blast of nutrients without breaking the bank. The possibilities are endless!
Some ideas: spirulina, flax, chia, or hemp seeds, nuts or nut butter, tahini, brown rice, quinoa, or hemp protein powder, green powders, coconut water-milk, or oil, kefir, yogurt, seasonal fruit, fresh herbs, acai, goji, stevia, and bee pollen.
Here are a couple of examples:
1 cup coconut water, a handful of fresh berries, 1tbsp almond butter, and 2tbsp chia seeds.
1 cup kefir, 1/2 peach, 1 tbsp green powder, and a scoop of hemp protein.
Play around with the ingredients, and then you have breakfast in a hurry or an energizing mid-day snack.
