So, what do beauty products have to do with food? Actually, a lot. Food allergies, which are becoming all too common, often occur when the liver and immune system become overburdened. If suddenly you can't handle sunflower seeds, it might actually be due to "total load". The body essentially hits a wall, and suddenly, every day foods aren't tolerated by the body.
The average person slathers themselves with toxins every day thanks to the chemicals in soaps, shampoos, makeup, lotions, etc. What most people don't realize is that these chemicals still have to be processed by the liver and kidneys. Currently there is no regulation about what ingredients can be used in beauty products.
Finally, a few Congressional representatives are trying to change this. The Safe Cosmetics Act of 2011 would require disclosure and pre-marketing testing of all the ingredients, and the bill even has a clause exempting small do-it-yourself beauty companies. If this sounds right to you, then tell your reps to support this bill.
