The Orbital Food Organizer is a kitchen concept that aims to blend the most convenient attributes of a microve and a refrigerator. The circular design lets users store food in several compartments. A smartphone integration lets commuters select the food they want to eat when they arrive home and send that choice to the organizer over the Internet.
The refrigerated food compartment then becomes a microwave that prepares the food as the commuter heads home. The Orbital Food Organizer's designer, Orcum Erdem, hopes to help on-the-go individuals eat homemade food and thereby avoid unhealthy take-out dinners despite their schedules.
