Consumer Reports recently released the results of its massive java-tasting study, and Gloria Jean's and Newman's Own Organics beat out all others in the Best Colombian Coffee category. The brands even beat out 2009's winner, Eight O'Clock Coffee.
Best-selling brands like Folgers and Maxwell House didn't fare so well in the Consumer Reports coffee study, scoring a middling Fair rating. "The new Colombian champs offered fairly complex, well-balanced flavors that our experts found stronger and fruitier than the flavors of most others we tasted," said Gayle Williams, the deputy health editor of Consumer Reports. Did the publication's findings surprise you?
