Yun Zi, a giant panda at the San Diego Zoo, turned 2 years old on Friday, and zoo staff treated the giant mammal with a birthday cake decorated with species-appropriate treats. The photo above from SanDiego.com shows Yun Zi and his ice cake, which was filled with carrots, yams and apples and decorated with bows made of bamboo leaves.
Since pandas love ice and the aforementioned fruits and vegetables are Yun Zi's favorite, we can only imagine the panda's excitement. Check out a video of the San Diego Zoo panda eating his birthday cake below:
