Despite the controversy over eating shark fin, Los Angeles-based Chef Jack Lee Catering Agency just released a $100 lobster egg roll that includes the rare ingredient. The lobster egg roll also contains Maine lobster, baby carrots, shiitake mushrooms, taro root, Bird Nest (caviar of the East) and Sveruga caviar. The concoction is braised for 8 hours before it's finally served.
"Clients have come to expect originality in our creations that make for a lasting impression," said Lee of his $100 lobster egg roll. Do you think the catering company is wrong to use shark fin, or must it accommodate its discerning private clients?
UPDATE 8/25: Chef Lee confirmed exclusively to Foodista that he has not only removed shark fin from the $100 lobster roll, but from his entire menu.

I have worked in Hollywood for many years and know Celebrity Chef Jack Lee very well. Since the release of the $100 egg roll Chef Jack Lee has taken a strong pro-environmental approach and is No Longer using shark fin as an ingredient in any of his dishes.

Absolutely! Any rare species should not be endangered for the uncaring creeps with deep pockets! Go stuff yourselves with shiitake mushrooms and take a bite out of yourselves, you heartless, inhuman monsters!
