Today is World Kitchen Garden Day! Very exciting for all of us obsessed with gardening in any form (call me guilty as charged).
Every 4th Sunday of August, marks Kitchen Garden Day. This day is set aside to offer an opportuntity for people around the world to celebrate their gardens of any size. I especially like that it focuses on celebrating home-grown, hand-made foods.
World Kitchen Garden day, started by the amazing website Kitchen Gardeners dot Org, celebrates the small gardener, from a windowsill garden, to backyard patch of tomatoes. Their motto: Feed More People Healthier Food, is one that you see in my blog everyday. I feel they are a kindred spirit in the world of gardening. Check them out and tell them that Foodista sent ya!
