
There is almost no recipe that isn't improved with the addition of bacon. These green beans are certainly a perfect example of that. If you have vegetable haters in your family, this might just be the recipe that brings them over the the green side.
BBQ Green Beans With Bacon
3 quarts green beans, cooked and drained (canned green beans can be used)
1 medium onion, chopped
1 Cup ketchup
1 Cup brown sugar
6 slices bacon
Combine green beans and onions and place in a baking dish.
In separate bowl, mix together ketchup and brown sugar until combined.
Fry bacon until cooked but not crisp.
Pour ketchup/brown sugar mixture over beans.
Place bacon over top of dish
Bake 375 degrees for 35 to 40 minutes
This makes a great dish to pass at your community gatherings. Enjoy!
