World's Heaviest Mother Goes on Diet

September 2, 2011

Donna Simpson is considered the "World's Heaviest Mother" and several years ago announced her goal of one day weighing 1000 pounds. She turned her obsession with gaining weight into profits by charging people to access her personal website. People would pay to watch her eat 15,000 calories a day.

Well, she recently separated from her partner and has decided to slim down for the sake of her children. "The health and welfare of my family was always my priority and they were well taken care of by my ex. Now that I have sole responsibility of taking care of my children, I must drastically change my lifestyle. Most people see me as a woman who became famous for wanting to gain weight while the rest of the world was trying to slim down. This was true as I was in a relationship that was based on a fetish that exists only in a fantasy," Simpson wrote in a note on her website.

She currently weighs around 600 pounds and aims to lose more than a third of her body weight through diet and exercise. Her website will document her progress at losing the weight she fought for so long to gain. Simpson says she's open to a reality show and partially blamed her ex-partner for her weight gain.

Ironically, Simpson attacked Susanne Essman (the woman who wants to gain 800 pounds to weigh 1,600 pounds), saying that no one in the community knows who she is. "If she was a serious gainer, the community would know about her," Simpson said

Check out an interview with Simpson below.

I hope she has an epiphany and realized how extremely morbid obese she is. I also feel very sorry to the people who have fetishes for people this huge. They are supporting the problem that 80% of America has, which is the over weight problem.

She's vulgar, selfish, and obviously suffering from a mental health issue.

From the few posts that were mentioned here, almost everyone has made a condemning or judgmental comment pertaining to this person. Let me ask you. Who died and left you people in a position to pass judgment over anyone? As my dear old friend Mr. Carrington used to say to people like these..I too say, "Get a life." If and when you are near perfection you'll see and feel no need to criticize others, fore you'll be too damn busy cleaning up your own crap to worry about the shortcoming of everyone else.

All of us who pay for obscene health insurance policies because our health system is bogged down by so many weight related. It's one thing to have a medical condition that makes it harder to control your weight, but she was eating 15000 calories a day. Healthy people won't eat that in an average work week. We need to stop pandering to these people and make them feel ashamed, maybe they will change their ways and try to live healthier lives.

You're entitled to your opinion. We all know that everyone has an opinion just like everyone has certain orifices with sphincters attached on their bodies. So, you're in your right to your opinion. I do, however, completely disagree with you, in placing the blame on Over weight / Obese people to the astronomical insurance costs. As most people know but don't want to admit, this is the result of many problems, which I'm sure if the weight issues were indeed to affect the pricing as you have indicated; it would most assuredly be an infinitesimally small fraction compared to the blatant over charging or price gauging by the entire medical industry, the Pharma & Biotech industries conning the politicians and doctors concerning unnecessary inoculations and other insidious treatments.
Let's not forget to mention the free medicine and treatment that our imbecile politicians feel so duly benevolent in passing out to the illegal immigrants to this country. Aproximately 12 million illegal immigrants received medical attention last year in the U.S. at a cost of several hundred billions of dollars..and the list goes on and on and on....I think that you should grow up and take action against these atrocities and forget about some poor obese woman who in the scope of all things really has no bearing on your complaining and miserable existence...Get a life..If not this, at least take care of your own mess before you criticise.

I think anyone who ever puts material things above personal relationships or someone who needs to own more than he or she really needs, has the same type of issues this misguided woman has. You're looking for happiness in all the wrong places. She's no worse than most of us, it's just that her problem is more visible. If our own twisted issues were visible to everyone, I think that perhaps what people would see would be a lot worse than a fat belly. If you condemned this woman, that's the beginning of letting us see what really is inside you, and it's not pretty. If you took the time to put your criticism and ugly opinions into "just the right words", then that's even uglier, but maybe your life goal is to perfect cruelty. You're well on your way. Congratulations.
