Gwenyth Paltrow, Sting and Madonna are huge advocates of organic food, but the Soil Association says this celebrity backing might be doing more harm than good.
Helen Browning, head of the Soil Association, is concerned that people don't realize organic food isn't just for the "elite."
“We love rock stars but perhaps people think organic food is all about the rich and famous. It is not!” said Browning. “The Soil Association is the opposite. It is about tackling deprivation and creating healthy communities.”
A new program has been put into place that sends people to schools, hospitals, prisons, and businesses to show how affordable it is to eat organically and the health benefits of doing so.
