Last year I took a business class which was during dinner hours, and all my classmates would load up on junk food from the vending machine. Mostly, everyone wished that there were better choices, and they swore that they didn't want to eat chips and gummy bears for dinner.
It seems as more people move toward a healthier lifestyle, it makes sense that vending machines would improve the quality of their offerings. Thanks to Vend Natural, H.U.M.A.N., and Fresh healthy Vending, the future of snacks on-the-go is looking up.
These machines offer carrots, yogurt, energy bars, "natural" chips, juice, and more. Personally, I still see a lot of sugar and organic junk food, BUT the products are still many times healthier than their cookie, candy, and soda counterparts.
This is an important step in the right direction, and it shows that the tide is turning away from an all junk food, all the time reality.

Odd--when I was in high school we had one--and ONLY one--vending machine. It dispensed fresh, chilled apples. That was it.
Of course, I graduated high school in 1964...amazing how we think of ourselves as moving forward when, in fact, we are turning back time...
