15 years ago today, Tupac Amaru Shakur died at the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada after being the victim of a drive by shooting in Las Vegas, NV. Tupac, known most commonly by his stage name, 2pac, was an actor and prominent American rapper named by Rolling Stone Magazine as the 86th Greatest Artist of All Time. Much speculation surrounds his death, including rumors that - like Elvis Presley - he is not in fact dead, but living in witness protection or hiding on an island in the Carribean. Who knows? Here are 2 2pac inspired cocktails to celebrate this iconic rapper.
Thug Passion
Mentioned in his song "Thug Passion", this recipe combines champagne (2pac names Cristal at $350/bottle) and Alizé Gold, a cognac-based passion fruit liqueur.
Tupac Shakur Cocktail
Take a bottle of beer, drink half, refill the rest with 3 parts Cognac, a type of brandy, and 1 part Grand Marnier, a combination of cognacs and bitter orange essence -- I'll let you judge the combination!
