A man who has been trying for 25 years, has finally grown the world's heaviest onion.
Peter Glazenbrook, of the West Midlands, UK, grew an onion that weighed in at 17lb 15 ozs, with a 30 inch circumference and 24 inches from top to bottom. Grown in pots, Mr. Glazenbrook planted 10 plants, back in November, and chose the best of the lot for the competition.
He has broken 10 world records in his 30 years as a gardener, but this was his first win in the onion class.
