Latvia's annual milk carton regatta is more than a race of vessels made from old milk cartons -- it's a public promotion for organic dairy. The 2011 race took place on August 27 and featured 36 teams of locals, food producers and dairy processors.
The human-powered boats in the milk carton regatta had to travel down a 50-meter course. The group used about 45,000 total cartons. Check out the wacky race below:
