In California, all expired baby food and formula may soon be banned from store shelves.
A new bill is in the works, that if signed by Governor Brown, will allow the health department to impost penalties on stores for selling expired baby food.
It is difficult to comprehend how selling expired food without alerting customers, is even legal. We should all be wary of expiration dates, but it does seem that the dates are not clear to see on all products, they are also dated in different ways.
How about a vote to keep a consistent size font or styling or other clear identifiable mark on all foods, so the consumer can clearly make their own choice?
