New York City has a new population, and they're called "beeks". These honey loving citizens are starting hives in record numbers, thanks to the Big Apple taking honeybees off the "dangerous to city life" list.
The trend was seen in full force last weekend at the first annual Honey Festival, in Queens. This is excellent news for the urban gardens that have popped up in all five boroughs.
