Food Network star, Alton Brown, said he is putting traditional publishing behind him and will be releasing his next cookbook as an e-book.
"I want to go where nobody has gone before," Brown said . "I want to change the way we deal with information in the kitchen."
Brown's next cookbooks will include 25 recipes and instructions in mixed media, including text, photos and videos. The videos will be shot with 40 cameras to ensure that each step is captured from every angle possible.
"We're trying to figure out how to reinvent information flow, to break out of recipes," he says. "Cooking is a linear process, but that doesn't mean the information has to be delivered in a linear way."
